Karissa Williams is used to getting what she wants. She's worked hard to make it that way after being deprived of several chances to shine in middle school by resident mean girl Sadie Harmon. With it being senior year now, she plans to give one last stand-out performance but her plans are quickly dismantled by her own arrogance. Or maybe, the invincible girl with big hair and an even bigger voice is a little insecure. One thing about the spotlight is that it makes you immune to everything that happens behind the scenes and when Sadie steps in to replace the budding performer all of the emotions (some good but on to that later) she'd previously tried to bury suddenly resurface. Jayson Reyes lives in the shadow of his older brother. He's laidback and funny with just the smallest fear of commitment. Whilst these traits have made him popular at school they're also the reason why his family tends to second-guess him a lot. Both Karissa and Jayson have spent considerable amounts of time both in and out of the spotlight so it makes complete sense that they're so close but what with all of Karissa's old feelings resurfacing, who knows how much longer they'll stay friends for. Maybe they'll become something more. All Rights Reserved
