Centuries ago vampires were revered as monsters, creatures of the night that quench an unending lust for blood on the innocent or virtuous.

Now in the 21st century they are basically gods.
Books and movies are written, sold, and watched to see the forbidden desires mortals have with such immortal creatures. Even if they fear the centuries of knowledge, they still desire the dark and sensual beauties.

So what does the modern day vampire do in a world where there desires and interests lurk?

For the past century and a half, Naomi has been doing her best to live her "life".
As the time passed she grew to love the world more and more, especially with her Sire Gabriel Savino far away.

However a vampires life can be difficult. Sure she's made a few friends here and there, some mortal and others supernatural, but there's one thing that will never change.

You can only live in one place for so long before people question how you never age.

For Naomi that was the current problem. She had to kiss her sunny California goodbye for ever changing St.Louis, the very place her Sire resided as Master of the City.

When she gets there she doesn't think it will be so bad. The city is full of life and places for the modern vamp to enjoy herself. All thoughts seem to pause when not only her Sire decides to play games with her, but the King of Vampires decides she'd make a perfect queen.
