Elizabeth Rose Daniels moved to China when she was 6 years old with her father. Her father's long time friend Mr. Sūn has invited him to become his partner in the opening of the Sūn hotel. Mr. Sūn's 8 year old son, Draco, is not happy with the arrvial of the Daniels, but through the years Elizabeth has grown on him to the point where all he wants in life is to be by her side and have her love.
On Elizabeth's 20th birthday her dad has surprised her with an arranged marriage. Upset and feeling betrayed she refuses even though it is already in the planning. She doesn't know or love this man. She has loved a certain boy since she was 13 years old.
