I originally wrote the story in 2012 and put it up on a fanfic sight. I'm reposting here to share on the 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor.
This story is dedicated to all those who lost their lives in service to this country on that fateful day in 1941, and to all those who protect and serve today, even the imaginary ones. The 5-0 team backs up Steve as he works to uncover the truth concerning the death of a close friend's son, who was found dead along the shore of Pearl Harbor. The story is set in Season 3 between episodes 8 and 9.

A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world. The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
