From Nevis to New York. (Jamilton)

Alexandria never had an easy life. Her father left her and her mother when she was ten, both her and her mum got deathly sick when she was twelve. The poor girl's mum died shortly after. Alex moved in with a cousin but they ended up committing suicide. And finally, the icing on the cake, when she was seventeen a horrid hurricane swept through the Caribbean and destroyed her home town. So now here she was, with just enough money to make it to New York. Alex didn't have a place to live, but at least now she had a chance at a decent life.
