The Spark - Carl's Interstellar Crisis

A superior species is spontaneously manifested through an enigmatic "Spark", a generator of conscious life that has appeared, through the whimsy of the universe, on the lawn of a man named Carl. Carl is not a proud man, he can't recall, like the other men do, of any significant achievements or deeds of exceeding merit. He dropped out of an obscure community college after a single semester; all the pot he suddenly had more freedom to smoke had somehow managed to affect his mental acuity. Now, Carl has become the ambassador of the transplanted species, and is to be a first-hand witness to the Spark's ultimate and insurmountable will.
