"so you're just going to run away?" he asked, stopping me in my tracks. "you are going to just walk away from the people that you love because one thing went wrong?"
i turned back to him. "yes. i'm running away because what i am now, is not who i want to be. this was a choice that you made without me and you have to live knowing you did this."
harry's mouth opened only to close back again. he knew i was right. he did this to me and now he had to suffer the outcomes of his own selfishness.
"will you ever come back?" the question everyone was waiting to be answered. though they wanted an answer i couldn't insure.
so, with silent tears blurring my vision, i whispered back, "i wouldn't count on it."
five single words i have come to regret.
