Friendship is valuable, but is easily torn apart. Love is the most fragile relationship of all. Ivan has waited for so long to tell Yao what really happened that night... but even he doesn't have a clear memories. He can barely remember their friendship, even, but he still wants them to be at good terms with each other again.
It's been a few years, at least, since they last saw each other. Perhaps even longer.
But it's harder to fix a broken heart, and it goes down the drain all too quickly.
