She really wanted to go, but she didn't know about how her family would like it. Her family just then started getting financial problems, which led Katie to have to go to Dofley, California. A ghetto area, where not many people have a good education. Katie tries to get into the school In North winchester, however, she'll have to leave all her favorite things behind for 8 months. Katie then looks online for a new school, and finds one. Katie runs away with her dog to help her find this school, as it's not in the US... It's in Scotland. The government sent in spies to watch the class for suspicious behavior, two of them students themselves. Two other students are hired to try to figure things out on their own. What nobody realizes however, is what's important.
