OLD: While I'm very proud for this being my first completed major project, it's still old as hell, several things make 0 sense and there's a lot of random convoluted stuff and little consistency, especially in characters. This was something I wrote to escape when I was down and often sleep-deprived so I just wrote what I felt like in the moment. THIS ALSO APPLIES TO ITS SEQUELS. Freydis can't remember which island she originated from. She can't remember her family name. She can't recall the last time she slept peacefully. ...She was too young when the raiders stole her away - from her family, her life, her future, her home. The slits in his eyes relaxed into orbs, and he nudged her to get up with a purr in the back of his throat. He could smell her injuries and her fear, and he wanted her to get up and keep moving. Suffice it to say, Freydis and that black dragon became friends. He cared for her, and she had his back. That is, until they were shot out of the sky by a stupid Viking-want-to-be. Oh, and forgot to mention she has ice powers she can't control. Thank you, gods of Asgard.
