Mara Prosperine, daughter of the Goddess of Death has spent all her life a prisoner to her mother's kingdom. She has been denied of her freedom all her life, knowing nothing about what lies beyond the underworld. Mara had always heard of what the world outside of her mother's domain is, from souls passing by. They have always told her tales, sang her songs about how beautiful the world of the living is. And so Mara grew curious. One day, a few new souls were coming in the underworld, meaning the gates would open for them, she took this opportunity to escape her mother's brutal grasp. Fortunately, the odds were in her favor, it seemed like the gods, both old and new, wanted her to venture the world beyond her mother's kingdom.
