Valence has felt as if he isn't enough for as long as he can remember. After all, how can you expect other people to know you, truly know you, if you only ever tell yourself the truths you want to hear? Sometimes confrontation is less about violence and more about honesty.

Porter hasn't ever known anything but half-truths and turned backs. It's always been her and Grant against the world but now that her brother has finally retreated from everything, including her, she has to find a new way to keep on living. Or a new person to keep on living for.
