"So I guess this is it?" comes the voice of my best friend Shelby.
"Yeah I guess it is" I say, crying as I hug her.
"We're gonna miss you lots Dal" states my other best friend Emmett.
"Yeah I know, I'll miss you lots too"
"Still best mates?" asks Emmett.
"The best of mates, always" I promise.
"Flight D24 for New York City boarding now" I hear a lady on the over-com.
"Well that's my flight. I promise to skype at least once a week, & to text everyday. I love you all lots!" I say as I give everyone one last hug before I board the plane.
As I'm walking away I hear Shelby shout "Don't forget about us when you become a famous ballerina!"
"I could never forget about you lot, I'll be sure to get you all front row seats!" I reply as I board the plane.
   Dalia Arrington is a 16 year old girl living in Brighton, England with her older brother Max, his fiance Valerie, & their one year old son Ben. She lives a simple life with her family & her close friends. In Brighton she attends a public high school & takes ballet, tap, ballroom, & jazz dance classes after school. 
  Dalia has dreamt of being a professional ballerina her whole life, but after her mother gets cancer it doesn't look like they'd ever be able to pay for it, with all the hospital bills. At the end of her Sophomore year Dalia receives a scholarship to attend Joffery Ballet School in NYC. And while dancing at Joffery she will attend Dalton School, a very prestigious private school in NYC.
   Dalia is popular, due to her friendliness. She's never had a problem making friends and fitting in, she soon finds that to not be the case in NYC. It's a bumpy road being the new girl, especially in such a competitive setting. 
  Not only does Dalia have to fight to fit in & get good grades, she has to fight to stand out against the other dancers in Joffery.
  Will Dalia be able to make it in NYC or will she be forced to pack her bags & head back home to Brighton as a failure?

My face lit up like a Christmas tree and I was truly surprised. "Okay, let's go." * There are a few rules when it comes to ditching class. Rule number one: Don't tell anyone. The teachers, your siblings, your parents. Rule number two: If anybody asks where you were, always say you were sick and rule number three is to have fun. Louisa Shepard didn't know what she was getting into when she agreed to ditch school with Liam Gilbert, her host brother. She had the perfect attendance record, she studied in her spare time and she never missed a class a day in her life. Until she went to America in exchange and met Liam, the guy she could not get away from. Liam did not care about school. He ditched most days, slept in, never studied for anything and his attendance record wasn't exactly great.
