Aurora Venerelli, the new goddess-to-be in Olympus, has overcome quite a few difficulties on the rocky-road to deity-ship; with an assassination attempt on her life, betrayal around every corner, haunting nightmares from a dead goddess and not to mention having to deal with her obsessive guardian- Death himself.

Now it's time for Aurora to train and fulfill her duty, but who's behind all these cold-blooded murders and who wants to put a stop to her ascension- maybe even her life?

Aurora and Thanatos must try to uncover the truth behind a deep layer of mystery in an ancient society of gods and goddesses who can't seem to trust one another with the simplest of secrets, and all along the way they must not only battle for their lives, but through their growing emotions for each other...

It's a thrilling ride full of twists, turns, passion, humor and the occasional shirtless god of Death!

Lady Bronwen is murdered in a satanic ritual by twelve demon worshipers. She is sent to the Under-realm where she meets Thanatos, its handsome and charmingly demonic ruler who wants Bronwen as his eternal companion. When Bronwen refuses him, Thanatos makes the Lady a deal of her own. If she can track down all of her killers, he will release her from his possession. However, if she cannot resist his seduction, she will remain his forever. Bronwen accepts the deal, trusting herself and her moral upbringing to endure Thanatos. But, as the identity of the twelve are revealed, it becomes clear to Bronwen that she alone values her life. She desperately tries to find something to stay alive for and is forced to question her conscience, religion, social standing and above all, her womanly desires for a man she believes is the devil. ******* "You wish me to..." Bronwen tried to think of the words and decided upon the closest thing to what he was implying. "...be your wife?" Thanatos laughed and relaxed back into his chair. "Marriage is a condition invented by men as a way to claim property over one another. What I want from you is a partnership. Be mine as I shall be yours and you can have all the freedoms the mortal world denied you." "With you." It was not a question this time and Bronwen put such a disgusted tone to the words that she saw a flash of anger and hurt in Thanatos's eyes. He dropped his glass to the table and before Bronwen could blink he had pulled her chair to the side and stood in front of her, both hands on the arms of the chair, encasing her so his conspicuous body dominated her vision. The air caught in Bronwen's lungs, hot and painful. "Yes, with me," Thanatos said bitterly, his breath was cool on her lips and his eyes were level with hers. She had the sudden fear that he might kiss her.

"Jealous?" "Why would I be?" "Because I know your fantasies." He argued. I leaned closer to him, smelling his overwhelming scent. "And I'm appalled at how they are just that. Fantasies." He smiled and leaned closer, piercing through my eyes with the blue of his. I wanted to grab the dagger beneath my pillow and kill him already. "Are you now?" He answered, coming dangerously close to me. He brought his hand up to lift my chin, our noses touching. Gods, help me. I want nothing to do with this man. I really don't. He hates me, and I hate him. Our banter is not just banter; there's always a sense of truth in between, and that's what makes it all the more addicting. - THE GOD is the master of death and darkness. Lore, previously known as Hades, rarely ever visited the mortal realm. As the gods get involved in a war against the rebellious uprising amongst the dark angels, he must work together with a group of immortals, a ruthless and serpentine assassin being one of them. THE SHADOW is a half-breed. Left destitute at seven and made a killer eleven years later, she leaves destruction and death wherever she walks the mortal realm. Forced into a team unit as punishment for her insolent behavior, she must work with the god she grew to admire and learned to hate. Alliances built on lies and hatred are inevitable to fall.
