"It's kind of incredible how much can change in a summer." Ronnie-Ann Peterson always wanted a horse of her own. She never expected she would finally get one- and it would be a crippled filly she found in the woods, or that it would change her life entirely. When Ronnie finds the horse, she's dating her best friend, her cousin Beth is a spoiled brat, and her grandmother is the closest thing to a mother she has; within a summer, everything, it seems, will change. In a tale of romance, humor, adventure, and teenage craziness, Ronnie-Ann goes from a wistful girl to a brave young woman, all due to one young mare- but not everything can work out so easily, especially not with Moonlight in the picture... ~This is a rewrite of a story I wrote when I was thirteen. Hopefully, it's better than the original.

*REWRITE AVAILABLE ON MY PROFILE* From the time Ronnie found the horse to the night it was finally back with her, her life is a constant whirlwind. Between the boys who come in and out of her life and the constant injuries and the vibrant cast of characters that weave their way into their life, there's never a dull moment for her. Even when she gets a chance to lay back and hit the hay, there's more turmoil around the corner. With a base in a homey Southern-style Kentucky setting and an exit in a hard-hitting heartbreak, this story shows the real-world twists and turns of unpredictable life. Because, as we all know, real life may have a central plotline, but that's never always the main focus. Such is true for Ronnie, and this is her story.
