(This story takes place after INSURGENT, if they never left the fence and ALLEGIANT never happened. There are no ALLEGIANT spoilers in the beginning. The end does end up sort of like ALLEGIANT, but not in the same way)

Thirteen-year-old Vayna Eaton lives a normal life...more or less. Her best friend is the fifteen-year-old son of Uriah and the ex-Erudite-war-prisoner Marlene, her other best friends are the children of her parents' other friends.
But living as the daughter of the Dauntless prodigy Four and Tris Prior is not easy. Especially when people want her dead.
Not everything else in the factions is smooth sailing. Some people want Vae's parents dead, especially the factionless, who are still plotting their revenge for their lost war. And on top of it all, Vae has the same secret that almost killed her parents.
Can Vae survive an impending war long enough to save her family and friends? Or will she- as well as everyone she loves- be just a few more casualties in the inevitable second war of the factions?

"Dishonesty is rampant..." A year has passed, but in seventeen-year old Sage Stronghold's world, there exists only emptiness and grief. After the tragic loss of Randi, he has taken a turn for the worst and changed into that which he never wanted to be; a cold and senseless fighter. With his family and friend's lives on the line, he has no other choice than to follow the orders he's given without hesitation. Under the supervision and strict mandate of Banks, he has been sent on various expeditions to gather information and samples from the factionless; for what purpose, he doesn't know. He doesn't care. To avoid further blood-shed, he has let himself become but a pawn in this new game of life; existing only to facilitate whatever plans Banks may have in store. He knows something bad is coming. Something that could affect everyone's way of life. But will he act? Fighting a tumultuous inner-battle, he's torn between making the decision between right or wrong. As things begin to worsen, he stands balanced on a precipice, about to fall one way or the other; will he continue to live in compliant servitude, or will he dare to risk it all to find out the truth? Everything seems bleak and hopeless, that is, until he meets her. Kind and gentle, but with an edge of mystery, this new transfer-initiate is about to turn his world upside-down. The truth sets you free. Or is that a lie in it's own?© Completed. A sequel to Transparent: A Divergent FanFiction (Book One) Prequel: Set before Divergent/ Insurgent/ Allegiant events. ||Book 2, please read Dauntless Initiate, before reading this one. This book picks up exactly where the other one left off for Tempest|| ||I own nothing except for Tempest, all of her plotlines, and some very minor characters that won't appear very often.|| ||Set in The Son by Veronica Roth, and takes place two years or so, before the book Divergent begins.|| ||There will be some potentially triggering topics, such as underaged drinking, swearing, mentions of physical and mental abuse. You have been warned|| Tempest has officially made it into Dauntless and has left her old life, old identity, and former faction of Abnegation behind her. She has made a friend or two among the Dauntless and although she still definitely prefers to always be able to walk alone at the best of times it is clear that she has begun to slowly open up. Even if it ended up being to one of the people that used to be one of the members of the faction, that she was raised to hate, with every bone in her body. When she gets visited in her quiet apartment by Max, one of the five Dauntless leaders, she gets an offer that she was shocked to hear. Because even if she had been ranked first... who would have ever thought, that the willowy, clearly under-fed girl from Abnegation, could ever become a candidate for any faction leadership position? Let alone the faction that was mainly only just formed to protect the city around them, from any and all threats? ||Follows the events of 'The Son' by Veronica Roth and my own plotlines entirely after that. Tempest is my main character.|| ||Dauntless Series|| |Book 1: Dauntless Initiate| |Book 2: Dauntless Member| |Book 3: Dauntless Leader|

'The opposite for courage is not cowardice, it is conformity. Even a dead fish can go with the flow.' -Jim Hightower In a society divided into five factions, two girls must make a choice. Amity-born April Dexter 'Dex' Meadows has always known that she's different from the other Amity kids. She'd get into fights when provoked rather than staying calm. She'd climb scarily high in the trees rather than playing on the ground. And she'd find them and their games boring. Being told she was Divergent wasn't exactly a shock. But for Brooke Kang, on the other hand, the daughter of the Candor representative who's always done her best to fit in, it is. Being Divergent doesn't just mean you're different. It's dangerous and the penalty for not conforming is death. Two girls from two very different factions must make a choice. But where one will try to hide her Divergence, the other will simply be herself. Which way is the 'right' way to be Divergent? And will both girls survive? All rights go to Veronica Roth. Any feedback is welcome :-) (Takes place 3 years before the Divergent series).
