If you were hoping for a light and fluffy romance, I'd advise against this particular story. Although some adoration does shine through, and romance is a running plot line, it isn't light nor fluffy. It's dark, and painful, and aching to the core.

Werewolves exist, it's just a fact that most people can't accept into their shallows minds. The characters of this tale are them, and they have the same problems we do. Boys playing thoughtless mind tricks, women doubting themselves and what they believe, it all appears equal.

Even the strongest of girls, take the Head Tracker for example, can fall for the charms of someone who just can't be theirs. But the heart wants what the heart wants, does it not? Sometimes it's just easier to detach yourself, than to take the pain.

My Mother Runs With Wolves

51 parts Complete

A genetically unique but emotionally lost teenager must figure out who she is within her mixed-up, warring world of Shifters and Wolfstalkers. ***** It wasn't Maddie's choice to be born a half-breed, half Shifter, half Wolfstalker -- a hunter of Shifters -- and it wasn't her choice to keep her identity a secret. But after trying to attend high school like any normal sixteen-year-old, things quickly spiral south when her Stalker uncle finds out about her and catapults her out of anonymity and into the awareness--or possibly the crosshairs--of The Order of the Wolfstalker. Maddie must think fast and figure out a way to keep herself and her family safe, or risk losing everything. Including her life. [[word count: 70,000-80,000 words]]
