A short story written in a short amount of time years ago that I never thought I would share but I think it's decent although unedited so

It is 1914, and Henry Anderson is watching the world descend into war. Like many young men at the time, he is fascinated by the idea of warfare and glory. Henry enlists in the military against his parents' wishes and throws himself into the life of a British soldier in Flanders. But it is far from what he expects: Henry's fantasies of righteous battle fade into the grim reality of gruesome death and shell-shock. He and his fellow soldier Jacob must help each other survive the cruel trenches, but it is no longer certain that either of them will return to England alive. Told in journal entries and letters from Henry's sister Elizabeth, this reveals the realities and horrors of World War I, on the battlefield and in the homefront. I wrote this for a history project while studying WWI and got way too involved in it, so here you are. WARNINGS: gun/bomb/gas-related violence, war descriptions, graphic death, suicide attempt. I will mark specific chapters with warnings and give summaries of those chapters on the following one. Many things fall. Such as heros. All heros eventually fall. Some because of a villian. But America? No, this hero was falling to something else. Something worst. Something more painful. He was falling to those he thought we're his friends and family. ----------------------------------------------------------------- You would think that he was one of the happiest people you would ever know. But that's a lie. America- no- Alfred was hurting. He was taking one to many hits. The pain was getting out of control. Everything was spiraling downwards. He woke up in a hospital, doesn't know why he's there, doesn't know who he is, doesn't even know how he got there, and he's got a real bad headache. He's got a head wound the size of a baseball, he can't see with his right eye, and no matter how hard he tries, he can't get a straight answer for anything, except that mineshaft workers found him crystalized and immediately flew him to the 'hospital.' Nobody could figure out how long he was in the crystal, and the only thing he could remember was his name. I really hope you enjoy! Like my previous books, I haven't gotten a cover for it but I'm working on it:)
Wish We Could Turn Back Time...
The countries are trying to make a time machine to, well, take them back or forward in time. America had come over to England's house (where a few tests were being run and stuff like that), trying to ignore England and Prussia's relationship. As he, Canada and Prussia worked in the basement to improve the time machine, America slips away and-being the person he is-accidentally ends up in 1689, London, England.
