A polluted earth, constant sandstorms, and loneliness are only a few things 25-year-old Walter Evans has to deal with in the post-apocalyptic world he lives in. For nearly 17 years, he's been living alone in a trashed up world with nothing but his pet cockroach, Hal, and his collection of leftover items from the earth's former inhabitants. After being almost completely alone for 17 years, he's on the brink of going crazy. And that's when Eve comes along. 

Evangeline "Eve" Orwell is a young woman who thrives off of orders and regulations, and will stop at nothing to fulfill her directive given to her by the captain of a space cruiser called the Axiom. But when she runs into Walter, things start to get out of order. Caught up in a web of secrets, jailbreak, and murder, Walter and Eve will have to solve a mystery and uncover the secrets of a certain crew member aboard the Axiom, all before everything spirals completely out of control.
