He was beautiful.

That was always the first thing I thought every time I would see him. His dark hair and brown eyes. The straight slope of his nose and the arch of his brow. A sharp jawline and full lips. He was absolutely stunning. But what made him beautiful wasn't his looks.

He had a kind heart. A heart of gold that never missed a chance to help someone in need. He would laugh with you and he would cry with you. He would stand with you when no one else will.

That was what made him beautiful.

But the thing is, you can't keep beautiful things. You just have to let them be. They come and go, they grow and they change. Beautiful things are actually sad to look at, because you know that they will always be out of reach. When you are not as pretty as them, you are shunned and pushed aside. So you do what you do best, you just look and be happy for all the love they receive.

I see a breathtaking person every single day, and my heart soars and shatters at the exact same time.

Because he was absolutely beautiful.

And it was always a reminder, that he could never be mine.
