Tells a story of a teenage boy who has had depression since he was 5. His life at home isn't the best and when he gets in trouble it's always harsh and cruel punishment from his parent. He is always alone, it seems as if nobody cares what happens to him and is often bullied by kids at school. One day a transfer student moves in to his school and starts to try to befriend him. At first they start to get along well and they both even start to fall in love with each other. What will happen to their relationship? Will everything turn out well? Or will something come between them and turn everything to shit?

Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.
