Mahal na niya ito mula pa noong sila ay mga bata. Magkaibigan sila at si Iris ay umibig sa kanya ngunit tinanggihan siya nito. Pumunta ito sa Paris para iwasan siya. Sinundan ni Iris si Timothy sa Paris ngunit hindi niya ito nakita. Bago siya bumalik sa Pilipinas, nakita niya ito, kasama ang isang babae. Nagpasyang bumalik na siya sa Pilipinas at ituloy ang pangarap niyang maging abogada. Di nagtagal, nalaman niya na nagpakamatay ang kasintahan ni Timothy at ito ay lubos na nasasaktan dahil hindi niya ito nailigtas. Sinubukan nitong magpakamatay dahil sa pagkadismaya. Ngunit, pinauwi siya ng kanyang mga magulang sa Zambales at inayos ang kasal para sa kanya. Pinalitan ni Iris ang kasintahan nito bilang kanyang mapapangasawa.
