Rain a little girl was out with her friends playing in a field near her home village when she spotted a small round copper disk lay half buried in the dirt. The disk as she got close to it started to glow a mysterious green that got brighter and brighter. When she reached down to touch it everything went black. When she awoke she was in a musty half lit cave with a big steel chain leading to a big mystical creature, long thought forgotten lay still in front of her. The two must lean to trust one and other to reach the beasts final destination The Nest.

After being pushed into a cave, Derrick wakes up to find that the opening has mysteriously vanished, leaving him in nothing but blankness. He soon finds Anne, a girl who can't remember who she was before the cave. In the darkness she becomes his light And together they try to escape the blackness as well as the equally as dark past. But the deeper they go the more Derrick realises that something can be trusted in the dark. Not even the light... There's only one thing that Derrick knows for sure is true: Nothing good can come from the dark An extract: As they walked the relief and prospect of safety grew less and less. Derrick was starting to grow nervous and a chilling feeling of danger cooled his blood and created a hard-to-swallow lump in his throat. He started looking around frantically with his every step. Nothing good can come from the dark. And as if the darkness read his thoughts, their surroundings began to change.
