After an accident in her parent's lab, Danielle Fenton finds herself with a split identity; that of a ghost and that of a human. She's constantly plagued with the question: Who is she? A ghost? A human? A freak?

Still, with her friends Trisha and Sam by her side, the question comes up less and less.  She continues to protect Amity Park and its residents. 

For the past few months, the ghosts have been quiet, giving Danielle time to relax and get her grades up. But that all goes out the window when a boy claiming to be her cousin arrives, possessing the same powers she has. Who is he? Who is she?
