"This is ridiculous!" Marie snapped, throwing and effortlessly smashing the vase against the wall.

"Don't tell me to calm down, dammit! You mean to tell me that no one saw this coming!" She angrily snapped, swatting Dylan away.

"Alright. Let's all just take a deep breath and calm down... it is perfectly normal for the power to be out. So what if we're at a lake house with no sign of civilization for four hours!" I said, laughing lightly and hoping to brighten the mood.

James and Leo sighed, crossing their arms.

"It's pretty obvious about what's going on." James said and Leo nodded his head.

Everyone shared looks before looking back at them, desperately waiting for their answer.

"There's a serial killer out there whose planning on killing us one by one and all because Mila decided to lose her virginity now." James explained,

"You jerk!" I spat, waving my hand and hoping to land a smack as Raiden held me back.

"Well, hello there." A grave voice, that we never heard, spoke up.

We turned slowly to the open porch doors to see someone standing there.

Then James passed out.

"I can" "Good, what about laundry and cleaning?" I nodded. "Fuck Angel, you're like the perfect woman and you still want me to be your friend" He joked and found myself laughing. "Because I am the perfect housewife?" I asked arching an eyebrow. "No, because you are the perfect combination of smart, beautiful, and skillful." I blushed at that and I wanted to look away but one of his hands stopped me and turned my face towards him. "Get used to hearing compliments because you're going to hear them often in the future. Now, about my offer..." He gave me an expectant look. I thought for a while. I still wasn't sure it was a good idea but I liked working at the shop and still wanted to work there for a little while. "Alright, let's do it," I said. "Now? Here? Damn Angel, first the fiancé thing, and now this. For someone inexperienced, you sure move fast" He joked and I laughed. *Warning ⚠️* Strong language, triggering topics such as body shaming, depression...

BEING REWRITTEN ON ANOTHER ACCOUNT, LINK ON LAST CHAPTER AND IN MY BIO. "I want you to be my friend." I stare at the short girl in front of me, my eyes narrow at hers. My first reaction is to say no, but then I hear my best friends voice saying: "Make more friends Jax, you need someone else who can always be there for you." and rethink. Slowly I gulp, but don't release my neutral look, my facade. "Okay." Genevieve squeals, throwing her arms around my middle. My own raise up so I'm not touching her, I scowl but she only tightens her grip. Her face moves up from where it was planted into my chest to smile at me. "First rule, you have to hug me back." I glare at her, trying to step back only to drag her with me and have my shoulders meet a wall. "I don't do well with rules. Get off me." She pouts, moving a hand up my back. My muscles jump under her touch, not used to people touching me. The only girl I was ever around that wasn't family was my best friend, Antoinette, and we don't touch that much anymore, since she's in college now. "You have to hug me back." "I don't have to do shit." Her grin widens and she face plants back into my chest. "Then you better get used to my company, because I'm not going anywhere."
