Once upon a time, the wild horses ran free, led by the stallion as dark as the night, his mares and foals running after him, galloping fast up to the higher grounds where he knew they would be safe. But now the men have caught them all, except one, a young dark bay brumby colt. He has learned to be careful on his feet, he knows to keep quiet and calm, he knows not to spread his sent, or else he will get caught and sent somewhere, away from his bush home, and I'm going to help the colt...
