As the galaxy far, far away reaches a flashpoint with the Separatist crisis at its boiling point, a new faction emerges from the corners of the Occlusion Zone, announcing their presence. Believed to control several dozen star systems, they are welcomed by the Republic into its ranks, untainted by Separatist ideals or the anarchist crime syndicates plaguing the Outer Rim. There, Rhine - an uncharted, unknown exoplanet located 4 light years away from Ryloth - serves as their entry gateway. No one knows their origin. They are unknown, but the Jedi and the Republic have no time to investigate as the Clone Wars begin.
One thing is certain: Rhine is no ordinary planet. Its surface is littered with factories, with no greenery in sight. Towering skyscrapers dominate the landscape, and its rivers and lakes are polluted, while the sea slowly dying. It is a heavily industrialized world, shrouded in secrecy and mystery. These newcomers offer very little information but claim to be the Bolar Federation, a civilization that has persisted for the last millennium.
