Magnolia Delmont was always told that she was destined for greatness by her father, until his mysterious disappearance two years ago. Fast forward two years, and Magnolia still has no idea what her destiny awaits or what college to go to yet. The only thing she is aware of is the upcoming winter prom for her senior year and the new vigilante running around the streets of Little Italy, known to civilians as Valor. However, she has no interest in the man at all and her soul purpose is to find her father again.

Hugo Walter, orphaned at the age of seven, has always been told he would never make it out in life and had no future by everyone that he met. His reputation of breaking bones and taking names in Dunbar High has made him the school-proclaimed bad boy, but he also holds another title on the streets: Valor. The hot, new vigilante everyone's been talking about.

Valor quickly becomes the new gossip around town, and the new topic of her newspaper club, Dunbar High Press. Magnolia is placed with the story of finding out the mysterious hero's identity, and once she does she becomes entangled in a life that she never knew existed. Magnolia will find that the streets of Manhattan have more secrets than what she thought when she's dragged into Hugo's vigilante life, and with every turn they take danger awaits.
