Katelyn's life has never been average. And no, it's not below average as her foster mother would say. It's somewhere in between everything. Between middle and high school, between delinquent and genius, between love and hate, and between a hero and a villain. The last option isn't something you want to be. She should've learned her lesson not to get in between two supers in a fight the last time it happened, but again as her foster mother would also affirm, she's never been a particularly fast learner.
Oh, and there's another thing. She's between the past and the future. Some would call it the present. She calls it a trap.

Now, these walking anomalies patrol the glass and grime skyline of Haem city, a place where chrome and corruption reek havoc side by side. Where sin and silicon are separated by a gap of letters and not materialistic gain. The mutagens call themselves saviours, the Authority calls them property and the villains refer to them as misguided. They were made to serve humanity, when they were never humans themselves. When you're a teenage undercover as a part-time superhero you have three options: You can pull on the nerd/geek high schooler or a bad boy/outcast type of high schooler. There's always the bystander, but that's never any fun. Whatever fits you most. I definitely fell into the category of a bad boy/outcast.
