Midori is Karen's best friend, the girl she would and has entrusted her life to. Unknown to her though, trusting the immigrant wasn't the brightest idea of her teenage life. After breaking a mysterious present from her best friend, Karen finds them both in a world she has absolutely no understanding of. A Shinobi world.
How was Karen supposed to know she trusted a witch as a best friend? What makes situations worse, the world Midori sends them too speaks Japanese. A lot of it.
For a full-blooded English girl, this proves to be a problem. Her only concern is returning home. To her mother, to her dog and to her (non-existent) job. There are some obstacles in the way however, hurdles that are too high for her to jump. It's not going to stop Karen though.
