“Were you that broken? I am here. Why can’t you see that?” he said. Tears are about to fall from his eyes. I never see him like this; he looks so vulnerable, so hurt, and so tired. He's always happy. He's always smiling. “You have a choice, Dani.” Then the next thing, I know, his tears had escape. I cannot handle seeing him cry. I run to him and put my hands around him. “I know, I know,” and I was crying with him. “I won’t promise you like he did but I will prove to you that I’ll always be here.” Danielle Rivera is alone, sad and broken. Her parents died on her very birthday in a plane crash. She has to live with her aunt who is oddly rich. She sent Dani to school, gave her everything just to make her happy but she failed to so. Who would fix her? Who would be there for her? Who will catch her when she falls?

-------------------- I gasp for air, twisting in his hold. My heart beats in my chest, between my legs. Urging to get off. But Henry pulls away from me, carefully studying my face. "You look so pretty, all worked up because of me." I feel heat flushing through me, making my hips twitch again. -------------------- For My Own Good Olivia Kent has always been good at running - from her broken home, suffocating memories, and emotions too raw to face. She keeps everyone at a careful distance, hiding the full extent of her pain - even from her best friend Carla. But when Olivia catches golden boy Charlie Bell in a vulnerable moment, it pulls her into an unfamiliar circle of friends who begin to break through her defenses. Then there's Henry, with his piercing grey eyes that see far more than Olivia wants to reveal. She feels immediately and undeniably drawn to him, but opening her heart only makes her realize how tightly she's trapped by the past she's been running from. As her world unravels, Olivia is faced with a difficult decision: stay trapped by fear and guilt, or risk everything for a chance at something better. Sometimes, love isn't enough to save you. Sometimes, it's up to you to find the strength to save yourself. For your own good.
