Peter survived the wolf's hunger; the greedy canine only wanted sheep flesh anyways. The sheep were the only ones that died; their thighs were just too juicy.

"The Boy who Cried Wolf," a fable told and retold to frighten children and make them obey. But a dark imagination can change things, twisting story after story to not only frighten children, but make the characters see their lives turn for the worst.

Peter doesn't survive. He says the lies, calling and calling until the truth trickles in, but instead of watching the horror, Peter ends with it.

The village doesn't just morn their livestock. They act on it. Their grief can blind an army. Instead, the townspeople influenced a militia.

The wolf doesn't have to be a wolf. Claws aren't always meant for puppies.

But puppies don't have to be so... harmless.

And the night's silence isn't always calm.

My eyes were literally glowing, there was no mistaking it. It was not a reflection of light, or any of the other excuses I had used or others had assumed. They were glowing a light sapphire blue color. It was not a bright glow, but it was definitely a glow. Glowing eyes were not normal. Okay, at this point I had to admit it, I was no longer normal.
