Fraser Mountain - Living the snow life de AlexTheBird

Meet Lexie McGinty. Unfulfilled Graphic Designer at Bostock Bank and according to her best friend Evie 'proper lovely'. Lexie's loves, particularly snowboarding and Labradors - seem to have been filed away in the drawer marked 'Time to get sensible' Navigating through the murk of London life; career, boyfriend, getting a toe (let alone a foot) on the housing ladder is all proving to be slightly underwhelming. So, when the global recession hits hard and redundancy beckons, she's left without a job for the first time in her life. But, as her wise and wonderful (if a little cantankerous) Grandmother would say, every cloud has a silver lining. At least unemployment means boyfriend Henry might get off her back about buying a house. Lexie wishes she had the same pluck as her best friend Evie, who has a million and one ideas about which direction she should go (none of which involve Henry, incidentally.) Then life throws another curveball that sends her on an adventure she never anticipated. The population of Fraser Mountain has just increased by one. When Lexie finds herself far from home in the frigid winter of the Canadian Rockies, she meets a motley crew of ski-bums, handsome ski-patrollers and friendly locals who live the dream, united by a passion for snow sports and mountain life. With no job, no boyfriend and no real plan, can she really fit in and carve out a new life, and find new love, in Fraser, or should she face up to her responsibilities and get back on the grown up bus? _________ Hello! My name is Alex and I wrote this novel based on my experiences when I upped sticks from London to live in a small ski town in Canada a few years ago. I absolutely loved writing this book and I really hope that those who read some or all of it enjoy the story, maybe giggle a few times, and give me some great feedback - thank you!

*Edited version on my profile Violet has been tortured for more than half of her life for being different from other wolves. She was abused physically and mentally when she didn't shift like all other children. On her sixteen birthday she changed from a broken human to a broken ruthless wolf after being rejected by her mate and a horrible incident. With her companion she traveled in and out of territories seeking revenge dodging the destiny she knew she would have after finding it out on her sixteen birthday becoming THE ruthless rogue. Four years later she is now the alpha of one of the most powerful pack and one of the most powerful wolves by her sister's side. Until demon sightings began to increase and the council paired her with her old pack in order to have a chance against this rising threat. Her pass is catching on with her, a past she never even knew she had. She has to deal with her old pack uncovering her secrets she thought she had left behind and the ones she currently carries with her. Now she has to decipher which is the truth and which is not based on her past centuries of life which is all blank to her. Her mysterious connection with the king of demons, attacks against her to break her and her packs trust and a century old council that will do anything to make her unable to fulfill a legend unknown to all. One things for sure. It's going to be hell and Violet Scarlett will be the one sure to bring it. Revenge and torture takes a big part in her vocabulary in this century. Eve Kingston is sick of being pushed around by hockey. Her entire life, the spotlight has been on her older brothers. She adores Nick and Logan, but she's been fighting hockey practices, tournaments, and games since she was a toddler. Not to mention all of their accomplishments, awards, exam scores, and achievements that she could never seem to earn. Now that she's all grown-up, she wants nothing to do with hockey (other than going to a couple of Logan's games every year). So far, she's avoided hockey pretty well. She's a first grade teacher, living in a tiny, cramped apartment with a kitchen older than her parents. Everything is going smoothly. Except when she's at the educator convention of the year, Eve ends up trapped in Seattle due to a snowstorm. Worse, she runs into Graham Everett, Logan's teammate and captain. Also the guy she's been crushing on for years, but that's not important. Suddenly hockey looks a lot harder to stay away from if it involves Graham. Especially since he's just as sweet, and kind, and adorable as she's ever imagined. Logan seems to be interfering as well, naming Graham the best man at his wedding while Eve is the maid of honor. Eve just wants to have her brothers back, like when they were kids and everything was easy. But if she happens to find love along the way, it might be with the man of her dreams. This is the sequel to Full Strength, but it totally can be read as a standalone! This is a closed door/clean romance, but there maybe be some more heated moments in the story.
