Twenty-One Years a Puppet

Who am I? I am Stefan Alexander Banner, grandson to the Norse Trickster God Loki, if you wish to be exact. What is my story? Where shall I begin?

At birth I was stolen from my mother, barely born and taken to be raised to be the ultimate tool by my grandfather. I was meant to take the throne from Odin, but after a while, Loki deemed me too weak and thus, turned me into his personal puppet. A puppet that could only tolerate the strings that bound it for so long.

My story is not something soft, it is too full of a depressing reality and as such, I would hate to disappoint. The struggle is real to cut the strings and only one can save me from Loki and from the self-destruction I appear so set on. I disappointed too many and had to erect a wall in order to keep others from rebreaking the shattered heart that I am slowly putting back together. I was the ultimate tool, giving my grandfather whatever he desired when my attempt at defiance failed, but there was one who I didn't count on.

A stubborn beauty gave me hope. Hope that I could be free, be my own man and for once have the thing I had secretly desired since I was a small child. There was hope I could love in my own way and be loved in return. Could she be the one to finally cut the puppet master's strings? Could she be the one to set me free?
