I remember the first time we saw each other and made eye contact. It was a tuesday afternoon on spinster st. The air was just beginning to change and she had a light green sweatshirt on. I saw her first throught the rearview mirror, her wispy brown hair falling in front of her face as she was looking down at her face. I asked where she was headed and quickly finished her text before answering me. She looked up the intoxicating tiny screen in her hands and that's when I felt it. That we were meant to be.
"A friends house." she quietly replied.
  "Fantastic."
