Could you imagine if the music department at your university burned down? What if your university turned it into a medical department instead? Unfortunately for Wren Tucker and her bandmates...the latter happened within a year of them being accepted into the music department. But since the university could no longer have them if they intended to continue to be music students, they were transferred to a sister school. There's one...well...two major problems though. The first is that St Cecilia University is on the opposite side of town and in the middle of what Wren terms as the 'forsaken zone'. The second is that there are existing St Cecilia students protesting against the influx of ex St Catherine musicians. Wren's band Phantom Code will be pitted up against two of St Cecilia's groups, one of which has decidedly elitist ideals of what music should be. Andrew Blake, lead singer of the Digital Mind has no idea what to do now that Phantom Code is at St Cecilia's. What's worse is that his group will be pitted up against the girls and Reality Machine, a band of older students. An end of year showcase where all three compete in front of the University Chair.....he's not pleased that the petite little spitfire was allowed entry to the school in the first place. What on Earth was his mother thinking when she and the board let the St Catherine's rabble in? Seth McGregor's band Reality Machine was facing a total break up before the end of the year. But now that competition has shown up for the showcase, the members have decided to see how things were going to play out. It isn't often when the drummer decides to steal another bandmate's boyfriend...but that could wait until after the performances at the end of the year. Right? Get ready to be thrown into a world where how loud your voice is, determines your place at the finishing line. Are you ready?

Lines I Shouldn't Cross When two opposites collide, sparks are bound to fly, just not the good kind. Kiara Evans, the school's top student and resident overachiever, values her solitude and strict boundaries. With a father who demands perfection and an academic portfolio to maintain, she's built her life around discipline and distance. Sharing a dorm room with anyone, let alone Breanna Baker, is the last thing she wants. Breanna, on the other hand, is everything Kiara isn't, outgoing, warm, and effortlessly charming. As the lead singer of the school band, Breanna thrives in the spotlight and loves forming connections. She approaches her new roommate with an open heart, only to be met with cold indifference and sharp words. Their rocky start seems destined to stay that way until an unexpected twist forces them together. When Kiara's father pushes her to join the school band to pad her college applications, she's stuck working alongside Breanna. The shared rehearsals and performances slowly chip away at their defenses, revealing sides of each other neither expected to see. As their animosity fades into tentative friendship, something even more dangerous begins to bloom. Both girls start feeling things they know they shouldn't, feelings that threaten the lines they've drawn to protect themselves. Kiara fights against the vulnerability Breanna awakens in her, while Breanna grapples with emotions she can't explain. "Lines I Shouldn't Cross" is a story of forced proximity, unlikely bonds, and the transformative power of music and understanding. As Kiara and Breanna navigate their growing connection, they're faced with the ultimate question: will crossing the lines they've drawn bring them closer or tear them apart?
