Miserable, friendless and struggling to wade through the many problems that come with being a teenager, Penny doesn't know what to do with her life. She has always been known as 'the fashion designer's daughter' and never been her own person.

Now at a new school, she hopes to keep her parentage quiet and just fit in as a normal teenager, but can she cope in a school where everyone remains cold and distant? How can she possibly deal with her stiff-necked, greedy mother, Natalie Riorman, the famous fashion designer?

After being shunned, shy, quiet and un-confrontational Penny becomes friends with Rochelle, a loud, trouble-making tomboy who doesn't like school, doesn't get on with authority and doesn't believe in rules.

If Penny doesn't want to be 'the fashion designers daughter,' anymore, she'll just have to learn who she really is. Throw a cute boy into the mix, and you get madness.
