This short story is very old but I've left it up more than anything so I can reference it to see my growth as a writer, but if you still enjoy it, that's lovely too!
What the story is about: In the year 2056, the recently defeated virus, zika, has returned in full power. The old medication is now ineffective, and the mosquitoes carry the deadly virus once again. The Americas have a world class team of scientists working on the new cure, but something is missing, and they don't know what.

They seem devastated at the thought of even being close to each other. Until they slowly started to learn more about each other. "We're just two sides of the same coin." PART II: Three of the most notorious criminals, locked away in Tartarus. They took lives of innocents, not looking through anyone or anything and brutally slaughtering anyone that came their way. They created a huge war amongst the eight elements. Luckily, there were eight warriors who sought power and tried to calm down the tension among them. This triggered an Armageddon that lasted for about a decade. Unfortunately, they lost their lives. The tournaments had ended months ago as a new year bloomed in full glory and joy. The beautiful winter rained down its snow, everything had calmed down and there wasn't a chance at disharmony. But alas, that harmonizing peace had to halt. 'I turned around and saw a creeper standing directly behind me, tilting his head to take a bite of my neck. It's breath was putrid, their crooked teeth stained orange from the feeding of animals. I grabbed my knife out of my boot and sliced it's throat. It stumbled back and came at me again. I poised the knife in my hand and forced it into its bloodshot eye.
