Pen finds herself alone in a cabin for a day, till a boy named Cole comes and finds her. Then Cole teaches her how to fight the dead walking around, and tries to keep her safe. Pen gets the hang of it quickly and tries to keep him safe too. With a world full of untrustworthy people, can pen find a way to trust again? Or will she find herself alone?

Kela Gorgosh was 15 when it started, watched her whole family turn into flesh eating zombies while she became something else. She was contaminated, venom mixed into her blood from a mutant she couldn't begin to describe. Yet she didn't die, her body gave out in existence. It shook and convulsed, it was like a fire ignited in her system. When she opened her eyes, she wasn't human yet she wasn't a Zombie either but a vampire who begged for more than blood, the after effects of having zombie venom in her blood. She planned to kill every mutant zombie there was, she wanted the world to bleed from her lips and bow down to her at the end. She wanted revenge for her dead parents, and the people she watched die around her.
