Raven Anderson would love to travel the world. Her sister, Elaine who is only twenty four but already very successful in her business ventures, gives her that opportunity in what she dubs, "The Sister-Sister Bonding Trip of the Century". Raven picks the destinations, but Elaine chooses a cruise ship to get them there. However, she wouldn't know Raven is terrified of the ocean.
Last minute, Elaine alerts Raven to a few changes in plans, including her friend, Celine, who is coming along. Raven begins to regret the trip. And even more as things progress.

The idea of this story has hit me square to the face when I watched one of my favorite novellas on television. She hasn't really been scared of death though sometimes it frightens her with curiosity about after life. Alex, her best friend, have known each other for a long time and he feels very protective over her like taking care of her, checking in on times, and keeping her away from the idiots at school who keep calling her names. Ashley, Leslie's older sister, has been crushed by the news and does not know what to do anymore.
