Sam Baker's life is about to change forever.

When the shy boy is diagnosed with life threatening brain conditions, all hope seems lost. However, one maverick doctor suggests the unthinkable: a brain transplant. When donors aren't exactly knocking at the door, an even more extreme alternative is put forward. Now fused with the power of an Alakazam, Sam is transformed into a completely new creature. He's Zam the Hybrid!

Despite having an IQ of near 5000, it's a whole new world for Zam and he's got a lot to learn very quickly. Can he defeat the reigning chess world champion? Will he ever become a respectable detective? Can he dismantle the flawed government and save the region from the money making schemes of the greedy? And will he ever understand slang?

They discover lost lands, uncover hidden treasures, and go on one-of-a-kind adventures. However, there are dark secrets to unravel, Flare has to keep his past as a human a secret, and on top of that, someone or someone's are looking for him. All Flare wants to do is get back home, but he might make some friends and save the world along the way. (This story contains elements from every Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game and is my first attempt at writing, so don't expect flawless work) I do not own Pokémon Characters are made using Gacha Life 2 because I suck at drawing I also PURPOSELY made some parts in the story cringey because in the actual Pmd games, the characters act childish at times (I just wanted to make that clear)
