Orphaned and abandoned children are taken home by bittersweet middle aged, Marsha. She makes the children pick pocket, steal or beg for materials and money so they can support all of them without any of them having a real job. But Marsha gives them a roof over their heads and heat in the winter, so it evens out... right?
(This sounds a bit like Oliver Twist, I know, but I assure you, there are more twists than Olivers in this story ;)
