Rick is just a high school junior who has an overactive love for girls, music, and generally having a good time. He transfers to a new school called Vortex High School. However, what he doesn't realize is, he's at a school for people who can control the elements of water, earth, fire, air, darkness, and light. Rick can control the element of fire and as he learns to control his powers, a threat comes along that endangers the entire world. The Lord of Darkness, Xorale, plans to destroy all the elemental controlling students for they are all that stands in his way of world domination. Rick, and his new friends, who each control a different element, have to band together and defeat Xorale before the world is engulfed in darkness.
