Not all horses that are not owned by humans run on the plains or in the forest. Some use abandoned barns as a place to live, and it's a nice way of life if you are a stallion. You may be wondering what I mean by this...well its simple. The mares are locked in their stalls or out in the pasture and are fought over in the spring time and whichever stallion wins get them for that year. This happened every year and at my barn it's still happening. Well I will wrap up with this little intro and let you see things through my eyes for a while. Oh by the way my name is Aspen and I am a 3-year-old liver chestnut mare. Mature content warning

The Fagan family has always loved horses, and now they're making their lifelong dream a reality-starting a horse farm in Tennessee, specializing in race-bred Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds. The family consists of Mr. and Mrs. Fagan and their five children: fifteen-year-old Khloe, fourteen-year-old Noel, eight-year-old Nathan, and five-year-old twins Allie and Ariah. Khloe is heartbroken about leaving her home and friends in Kentucky, but the excitement of owning a horse farm-especially the chance to have a horse of her own-makes the move easier. She has dreamed of this moment for as long as she can remember. But there's one problem: her family's budget is tight, and they can only afford to buy mares for their breeding and training program. While accompanying her dad to a horse auction, Khloe stumbles upon a stunning dapple-gray Quarter Horse mare-her dream horse. But this mare isn't just wild-she's been abused, broken, and has lost all trust in humans. Now, Khloe faces two challenges: convincing her dad to buy the mare and, if she succeeds, proving to the frightened horse that they are meant to be. But with a horse this damaged, the journey won't be easy. Can Khloe earn the mare's trust, or will someone get hurt in the process?
