The year is 2030. The society is very different than what it was 13 years ago. It all happened when Sarah Smith died in front of her twins, Kaih and Katie. These two hold the fate of the world in their hands , but the world only sees hate in them, while Kaih and Katie only see good within themselves.

Every 20th century these twins are born with the same gift as the pair, and has always been kept a secret until the mysterious death of Sarah. The government who collected her body soon linked her death to her heritage and found this power they hold. This is why they're now in hiding in risk of becoming extinct. Ben Smith, father of Kaih and Katie, was the genius leader, until his wife died and then became an alcoholic.

This causes Kaih to lose respect for his father, resulting in Kaih becoming the defiant, troublemaker and Katie becoming the peacemaker of the two. After 13 years of never going outside, their father suggests that they go out of hiding and attend school. Little that they knew that they weren't the only pair of twins walking around with the choice to save or kill.
