"Sofia Grace-Rose Dixon, that is my name, hell I honestly have no idea why my mother named me that, if I had a way to ask her I could. Then again what much can you do when someone is dead, or that's what I've been told. All my life it was my dad, my grandpa, and my tribe. My father says that the creator put he and my mother together long enough to have me, he says that I was his salvation, his saving grace. He thinks that if it wasn't for me that he would be the tribes drunk. Sadly I believe him." Sofia Grace-Rose Dixon lives all her life believing that her mother is dead, that's what the tribe has told her. She embarks on a journey to help kids like her, that were abandoned by their other parent. When she meets Alana Taylor her head spins due to their similar features. "Learning my mother wasn't dead wasn't that broke my heart, it was the fact that she left my father and I for another man and had another child only nine months after she left me, that's what kills me."

I decided to write this memoir for my kids. Kalina, Braylon and Bryce. I wanted them to know how I grew up and what all happened when I was a child. Maybe one day they can sit down and read this little book and remember MOMMA. I want to also apologize if this memoir offends any family member, every one has their memories of events in their lives. Let me tell mines as I lived them and as they were told to me by other family members during my lifetime. This book is filled with traumatic yet funny memories of my upbringing. It's a tell all from what I went through, in my eyes not anyone else's. Hope you enjoy reading this as I've enjoyed writing it. It's not meant to seek pity, instead it's written to shine light on the real problems of society. poverty, single moms, the damage due to drugs, incest, abuse and most of all, origins of brokenness. We all have a story to tell, mine is of survival. It didn't happened to me it happened for my good. God is good!! Be blessed.
