October 24th, 2050 was the day we watched the Earth die. We watched from our colony on Mars. Our satellites circled the Earth sending video back. The room was quiet as the satellite's feed was projected on a screen in front of us. I had never stepped foot on the Earth but I was acutely aware that as a human being that the Earth would always be "home".
