Evangeline Willows hasn't had the best upbringing, nor has she ever had the perfect fairytale life. She has been teased and tormented for her vividly violet coloured eyes and yet manages to have the most crazy and wonderful best friend who sticks by her through everything. A day after her 16th birthday, school resumes for the semester and an exchange student from California arrives. This is the day she finds out she is a witch. 

She undergoes many obstacles in the coming months, including the threat of an old organization rising to power once again. Her small circle of one friend grows to include her four blood brothers. Leaving behind an absent father, controlling step-mother and two irritating step-sisters, Eve hopes for the best as she and Emma head to the Cali base.
