Seriously though, fighting in high heels? Will I claw my way up the nobility ladder? Dominate the rankings? Outwit the government and their plans to exploit us all? Maybe. But something's off. The game feels too real. My memories don't line up, and everyone has their own version of what's true. Simulation? Reality? The lines are a blur-and I'm stuck in the middle. If I want to stop a dystopian future, I'll need allies, both in-game and out. Oh, and avoid ticking off the AIs hunting me for bending the rules. But we are all free to write what we want, right? Maybe later, after the publication, I could think that it was a really bad idea, very bad. But right now, I don't have that view yet. Mais nous sommes tous libre d'écrire ce que nous voulons, non ? Peut-être que plus tard, après la publication, je pourrais penser que c'était une idée vraiment nulle, très mauvaise. The world is changing, two years ago strange weather, various anomalies and strange creatures started appearing from nowhere all over the world. Some creatures were completely alien and others were familiar looking as if they'd stepped from myth and legend. What many of these creatures had in common however was their aggressive nature and predatory instinct. Things that go bump in the night, that shifting shadow in the dark alley way, the cracking branch right behind you. Nightmarish creatures now stalk the land. Monsters. That isn't the only change in a new world however, humans have also changed. Some unknown phenomenon has granted humanity access to incredible power. The very elements themselves can now be wielded by those willing to risk the dangers. Earth, wind, fire, water, suddenly magic has become possible in a modern world and there are many who are eager to develop and embrace their newfound power and help protect their fellow man from monsters. There are also many who are willing to make a profit from newfound opportunities this changing world provides. Unfortunately for our MC Jack, embracing newfound power and going out to valiantly battle monsters isn't quite as simple as most other people have it. He possesses the rare and not so sought after lightning element, considered the weakest element for certain reasons, pitied and looked down upon Jack is determined to become a successful monster hunter in a more and more dangerous world. A slow burn story with world building, dungeon delving, character progression, Litrpg elements and more. WARNING - The MC is not a Mary Sue, he is not super competent, or super powerful or super intelligent nor a paragon of virtue, just a normal guy in a not so normal situation and him growing to deal with it in his own way.

Emotions shouldn't be this hard. They should be clear and understandable. But why wasn't that the case? Why can't I seem to get my thoughts under control? All these thoughts and many more flooded my brain. Causing the beginning of a migraine to pulse through the back of my neck. Spreading to my temples like a snake coiling around to crush my skull. Or was that too dramatic? I could never truly tell anymore considering my current predicament with the hot headed skeleton in front of me. "This is going to be fun isn't it...." The book contains violence due to mafia themes. Though not entirely present for majority of the book. Fluff will be included and sexual jokes as they play a big part in one particular characters development. Info: The phrase "kind of a Stretch" which is often used when someone is describing something that is unlikely, or really out of the ordinary; Quite difficult to picture logically speaking in a sense. For example, "I'm not too fond of taxes either, but it's a bit of a stretch to claim they are the cause of all our problems." or "It's a bit of a stretch to call her a teacher." But it can also be used in the way of being too much effort to achieve something. Such as in conversation when someone is "stretching" the information that they do know in order to reach the conclusion they are looking for. No matter how logical or illogical the path the truth takes to get there. Similarly to that of this AU types "laws".
