This was unusual, I was normally home alone for a few hours before my parents arrived. "That's weird, why is everyone home?" I asked out loud. It was more for me then anyone else.   "Aren't you home for a few hours by yourself?" Leslie questioned, her brown eyes staring into mine.   "Yeah, I hope nothing bad has happened. Well only one way to find out" I said as I gathered up the courage to walk in.   On the inside I was freaking out, my parents would only come home early if there was an emergency. I unlocked the door to hear voices coming from the living room.   Dropping my bags I stopped dead in my tracks, one voice sounded very familiar a little too familiar. No it couldn't be him, we moved away years ago. He wouldn't have the nerve to face me after what he did, coward.   Slowly dragging my feet I made my way to the living room. What I saw before me turned my face ghost white. My worst nightmare confirmed, there he was, Max, sitting on my couch, in my living room, in my house.All Rights Reserved

I open my eye, i was feeling so much pain around my whole body specially on my head. I was on a bed, i can hear some sounds out side the room like there are a lot peoples my eye can't take the light that comes from the room's bulb it felt like i was a new born baby who can't open his eyes properly, oh my gosh! it hurts much so i closed them back and start to figure out how i end up in this place.... A week later i was out from that place feeling like i was new for this whole word i take my 1 feet out of room then stand there for a minute." how i'm i going to stay like this i wish i could sleep on that bed until everything gets more better!" His voice being me back from my thought " hey aren't you coming will you stand there until you remembered something?" oh! he is so kind but he doesn't want to show it..... he take my hand and i take my second step to this new whole world with this guy named... "This is such a bad idea. I cannot believe I let you talk me through this!" "Then why are you coming along?" I question Harry, taking a sharp left turn onto the main road and accelerating towards our destination. My GPS shows it to be around a minute away, so I remain on the lookout. "Uh, coz you dragged me downstairs by my pants like a damn bully! And I can't say no to you for some reason." He logics while fidgeting in his seat and shaking his head as I spot the neon pink sign on my left side. "Would you have preferred I dragged you with your willy, Haz?" I speak casually, snickering at the damn thought of it. He gives me his very definitive "what the fuck" look with both his eyebrows erect and rubs his hands all over his face in frustration. I mouth a little sorry to him, holding his ear closest to me instead of my own. He swats my hands away and scoffs at me. "This is not funny, Hope Emily Wilson." He asserts, biting his lower lip in worry. "And, one of us needs to be able to talk the cops out of arresting us when this inevitably goes wrong and that certainly cannot be you." "Sshhhh. Nothing will go wrong. Positive thoughts." I reject his suspicions as I bring my car to a halt behind the building, pulling the handbrake to secure it. "This is so illegal. Criminal. Felonious. You're 16 and driving the car with not even a learner's license in hand. I am 16 and we are at this club we are not even supposed to be at in the first place." I smack my palm over his mouth to keep him from talking anymore. The Red Herring. This club is on my bucket list with Harry for quite some time now and it's time to just tick it out already before he leaves for X-Factor.

I stammered, my voice barely louder than a whisper, the question lingering between us and demanding an answer that might plunge me further into this nightmare. How could he be unscathed after unleashing that bone-chilling scream, the very sound that should have been his death knell? His grin widened, his fingertips tracing a path across my cheek as though he were unraveling secrets I wasn't privy to. "Darling," his voice dripped with dark amusement, The gentle press of his lips against mine sent shockwaves through my core, a cascade of emotions too complex to decipher. Dread, fascination, and a strangely enthralling connection fused into a bewildering mixture. I recoiled within, grappling with the weight of realization: I had unknowingly awakened a slumbering monster, stirring something ancient and powerful. ©opyright 2023

The "Please..." I hear her whimper and I go into full panic mode. "Calm down, okay? Deep breaths. Don't hang up. I'll be with you soon. Where are you?" I rush as I grab the car key sitting on the glass table. I run into the garage with my dad behind me. "What do you need?" Dad asks "A room. A big one." He runs back inside as I hear her voice again. "Basement...blood...Elle..." I hear sounds of movement in the background and connect the dots. Elle's bleeding, or something... "Deep breaths baby, deep breaths. It's okay, you're okay" I murmur reassuring words to her, thankful that there's no traffic. Several thoughts run through my mind as I drove to her house. The last time we spoke, she could barely stand me, but now she's calling me. I feel kinda used, but now's not the time to think about that. I reach her house in a matter of minutes and shove the door open. The house is quiet, save for my heavy breathing and footsteps. I reach the basement and take in the sight in front of me. An eerie silence echoed through the house at the end of Yellow Brooke Street, the wind outside slammed toward the wooden walls making a whistle inside the house from the cracked windows; the front door made a thud each time it slammed toward the wall and the screams from the dead gave the house an uneasiness to it. The human looking creature opened his mouth wide and lowered it down to my neck. I could feel his teeth grazing my jugular vain. "Please don't!" I spoke loud. Loud enough to make him startle. He laughed and backed away. Now that I could see his full body, the emotion that bubbled deep inside of me gave itself a label. Attraction. Despite the situation, I couldn't help but feel infatuated with him. When I looked at his inhumane features, I saw beauty. "I'm not okay!" I yelled at him. "Okay?! I'm not okay." My chest rose up and down as I breathed heavily. It had been years since I had a break down, and I wasn't going to have one right now. "It's okay not to be okay," he whispered, walking closer to me. He caressed my cheek, trying to sooth me. I stared at him, pain filled my eyes. I was trying hard not to cry. I couldn't cry. That's not what I did. "It's okay to cry," he comforted. His eyes stared so hard into mine I felt like he was seeing into my soul. "Crying shows weakness, and I'm not weak," I told him, swallowing hard. "Sometimes crying is the strongest thing you can do. It just shows everyone else that you're just as human as they are." And right then and there I started sobbing. I had lost all control of my emotions, I cried like I hadn't since I was little. All those times I didn't cry when I wanted to poured out now. The walls I spent so long building to make them unbreakable, broke. Alana finds a thick orange envelope in her mailbox one day. No return address, no stamp or postage mark and it's not even addressed to her. Someone had just dropped the letter off in her mailbox.
